I had the HUGE privilege of being in South Africa for Shofar Christian Church‘s annual Convergence Conference. On top of that, I was asked to take some photos at some of the sessions – and what a blessing that was!

For me personally, this conference was part of a restoration process: A few years ago, someone said some ugly things about some of my photos, which eventually caused me to take only few or no photos. During the media presentations at Convergence, one of those photos was used for all to see, so that even I had to start believing that God has given me a gift that I should use, and that others can be inspired by it, no matter what someone else says.

My personal highlights of the conference were meeting Jeremy Riddle and having a small chat with him, and the worship on the last evening. The latter was extremely powerful, and every word of every song became a revelation to me.

The red wristband granted me access to everywhere on the premises. Loved having it and being able to be everywhere, even during soundcheck and rehearsals (my favourite part of any music event)
My favourite shot of the conference:
Loved how much fun the band guys had together:

A big thank you also to Lizelle Lotter for allowing me to use some of her equipment and post processing facilities. 🙂
